Visiting The Alderman House feels like stepping back in time. Upon entering through the wrought iron gate, you’ll be greeted by majestic royal palms framing a stunning Mediterranean revival estate. This storied mansion has been part of the fabric of Fort Myers since its establishment in 1924, and today, it serves as a backdrop for unforgettable celebrations.
Built in 1924 for banker Frank Alderman and his family, The Alderman House was one of the first residences in Fort Myers constructed in Mizner’s signature Mediterranean Revival style. Featuring an Italian mezzanine tile patio, classic Roman arches, a red clay tile roof, and graceful wrought iron railings, it was designed to be a showplace where the elite of Fort Myers’ Society, including luminaries such as Thomas Edison, could socialize.
The mansion served as the Alderman family home for many years, and was later sold. Over the years, it has served as an antique store, a community club, a bed and breakfast, and now, one of Fort Myer’s premier wedding venues. We’re proud to honor the history of this magnificent estate.
The Alderman House, built by acclaimed architect Addison Mizner, is proudly listed in National Register of Historic Places

“It was PERFECTION. We had an "old Florida" theme and we couldn't have asked for a better fit. A few of our guests commented that the venue looked like something out of a movie.”
